Strength &
Performance Training

Private, one-on-one strength training in Coral Gables, programmed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.

RX MOVEMENT · Coral Gables

One continuum.
Keep getting better.

Physical therapy and performance training are two points on the same line. Our 1-on-1 strength and performance sessions pick up where your rehab leaves off, or start fresh if you're healthy and want more, with expert programming that respects your body's history.

Because your physical therapist and strength coach work from the same plan, we can train hard around old injuries, keep you progressing after physical therapy ends, and build strength for your sport or everyday life.

Strength and performance training is a self-pay service and is not billed to insurance. If you currently have pain or a new injury, we will recommend a physical therapy evaluation first.

Common Questions

Strength & Performance Training FAQs

Is performance training the same as physical therapy?+

They sit on the same continuum, but they are billed differently. Physical therapy diagnoses and treats injuries and is billed to insurance when covered. Performance training is coaching and programming for strength and performance, and it is self-pay.

Can I start training if I'm still in pain?+

If you have pain or a new injury, we recommend a physical therapy evaluation first so we can treat the problem before loading it.

Who will train me?+

Sessions are led by Gabriel Pardo, PT, DPT, CSCS, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.

Can I continue training after physical therapy ends?+

Yes. Many patients transition straight from physical therapy into performance training to keep building strength and protect their progress.
