Back Pain
Physical Therapy

Hands-on, active treatment for low back pain, sciatica, and disc-related pain in Coral Gables, from a Doctor of Physical Therapy and strength coach.

RX MOVEMENT · Coral Gables

Calm the pain.
Build a stronger back.

Low back pain is one of the most common reasons people see a physical therapist, and most cases respond well to the right plan. The goal is not just a few good days; it is getting you back to sitting, lifting, training, and sleeping without thinking about your back.

At RX MOVEMENT, care starts with a thorough evaluation of how you move and what aggravates your symptoms. From there we combine manual therapy, dry needling when appropriate, and progressive strength work, so relief on the table turns into a back that can handle real life.

Because physical therapy and performance training sit on one continuum here, your plan does not stop when the pain fades. We keep building strength and capacity so you can return to golf, lifting, running, or long days at a desk with confidence.

Common Questions

Back Pain Physical Therapy FAQs

Do I need an MRI before starting physical therapy for back pain?+

Usually not. Most people with low back pain can start physical therapy without imaging. During your evaluation we screen for signs that need a physician's attention and refer you if anything suggests further testing is needed.

Do I need a referral to see a physical therapist for back pain?+

No. Florida law allows you to see a physical therapist directly, without a physician referral, for the first 30 days of care.

Should I rest until my back feels better?+

For most back pain, staying gently active is better than bed rest. We show you which movements are safe right now and how to progress them as your back calms down.
